Landsec partners with Smart Spaces to roll out new Landsec Experience app across its portfolio of London workplaces

Landsec, one of the UK’s leading commercial property companies, is rolling out its optimised Landsec Experience across all of its London office properties, leveraging its Smart Spaces intelligent building operating system.

The new app aims to help people working in Landsec buildings make the most of their time in and around the office. In addition to digital access control, it gives office customers access to a range of personalised experiences, events and discounts, as well as the latest information about their workplaces, via smartphones and smartwatches.

The app also integrates with Landsec’s flexible office brand, Myo, enabling Landsec clients to book meeting rooms and event spaces via the app in Piccadilly, The City of London, Southbank and Victoria. In line with Landsec’s wider focus on using data and insights to improve customer experiences, the app will also enable two-way consumer feedback to Landsec via customer surveys to better understand how its buildings are being used and where there are opportunities to improve its services.

Access to buildings via smartphones is now “live”

The Landsec Experience app will also provide customers with a contactless entry experience, in line with Landsec’s strategy to deliver digital solutions that enhance the guest experience. Across all London locations, access details can now be stored in digital wallets to ensure a seamless experience.

To make this easier, Landsec has optimized the technology in its spaces by installing improved door readers in many buildings, as well as implementing HID Mobile Access. This makes it easier to handle all the licensing and credential management for tenants and guests, as well as setting building access rights, which is now done quickly and remotely.

Oliver Knight, Head of Workplace at Landsec, said: “In addition to our exciting plans to activate our spaces and buildings, the Landsec Experience app is designed to help people working in our spaces make the most of their time in and around the office. By introducing this optimised Landsec Experience app with even greater capabilities, we are delivering a personalised and digital user experience that will enhance the working week for everyone who uses our workplaces.”

Currently, registered users simply need to download the Landsec Experience app, then use their Android or Apple smartphone or watch to gain quick and seamless access by simply tapping their device near the HID reader to automatically open turnstiles and doors.

The Smart Spaces operating system enables easy central control with the ability to modify the application for each building, and its architecture has been designed to enable easy integration of access control software from different suppliers.

Dan Drogman, CEO of Smart Spaces, says: “We are pleased to support Landsec in developing their customer experience app and introducing mobile access. This is a significant step in their smart building journey with our OS platform that can scale with them. This helps a client like Landsec fully maximise their investment in their asset.”
