Church’s Chicken employee shot dead outside restaurant

MEMPHIS, Tenn. — Memphis police say an employee at a Church’s Chicken restaurant was fatally shot outside the restaurant Monday night.

At approximately 9 p.m., officers responded to a report of a shooting at Church’s Chicken at 2963 Park Avenue.


According to police, the employee was at work when a woman with purple hair pulled up to her car window and the women began arguing.

The woman driving the turquoise SUV drove away from the parking lot; the victim went outside for air.

Moments later, a gunshot was heard and a turquoise SUV was seen on video leaving the parking lot. MPD said the victim was found outside the business.

She was taken to Regional One, where she later died.

No arrests were made.
