Manitowoc man arrested, charged with attempted homicide

A Manitowoc man has been arrested and charged with attempted homicide after being stabbed.

Last week on the 4ththIn July, the Manitowoc County Sheriff’s Office, Two Rivers Fire Department and Mishicot Ambulance Service were dispatched to a residence in Two Rivers Township for reports of a woman who had been stabbed.

Upon arrival, they found two individuals with stab wounds.

The victim, a 51-year-old woman, was found in the backyard with multiple stab wounds and other injuries.

The suspect, a 62-year-old man, was found in the home with a knife wound that appeared to be self-inflicted.

Both men were taken by ambulance due to their injuries.

The suspect, after receiving treatment, was arrested and transported to the Manitowoc County Jail.

He was charged with attempted homicide/domestic violence, aggravated battery, domestic violence, strangulation/suffocation, domestic violence and possession of a Schedule II narcotic.

On Monday (July 8), he attended his bail hearing which was set at $500,000.
