A 30-year-old man who died in a work accident in Donegal has been named by local police

The name of a 30-year-old man who died following a workplace accident in Co Donegal has been released to local police.

Anthony Devlin of Dun Na Ri, Slavery, Buncrana, aged in his 30s, suffered serious injuries at a house in the Illies area of ​​Buncrana on Tuesday evening.

He later died at the scene.

The HSA (Health Safety Authority) is aware of the incident and is investigating.

Anthony was the father of two children, partner of Grainne and son of Philip and Una.

Anthony’s ashes will be laid to rest at the home of Philip and Una in Sarida, Ballymagan, Buncrana from 11.00am tomorrow morning, Thursday 11th July.

A funeral mass will be held at St Mary’s Church, Cockhill, on Saturday morning, 13th July at 11:00 AM, with burial to follow in the adjoining cemetery.

A Garda spokesman said: “Gardaí were alerted to an incident in Buncrana on Tuesday evening, 9th July 2024.

“The man (30 years old) later died at the scene.

“We have notified the local coroner and an autopsy will be carried out shortly.”

Anthony was left behind by his fiancée Grainne, sons Joe and Odhran, loving parents Philip and Una, sisters Tara, Tina, Leanne’s brother Ian, grandmother Annie Devlin, aunts, uncles, cousins, neighbours and numerous friends and wider family.
