House Collapse: House collapses in Surat without casualty | Surat News

Sura: first floor With destroyed the house collapsed Zampa Bazaar main road Tuesday evening. No one was injured because it was empty. Residents had been living elsewhere for the past few years. Because it was an old structure, officials suspect it weakened because of the rain.
The homeowner was recently ordered to demolish the building because it was structurally weak. However, before it could be demolished, it collapsed. SMC officials said no structures adjacent to the building were damaged.
“The wooden blocks in the structure might have been damaged due to water ingress,” an SMC official said.
A team of Surat Fire and Emergency Services (SFES) rushed to the spot to check if anyone was trapped under the rubble.
