Yavapai County sheriff’s deputies responded Monday night to reports of shots fired in an undisclosed neighborhood in Seligman.

Upon arrival, officers learned through a second 911 call that a person had been shot on the property.

Authorities then entered and found the suspect, Frank Ross, 66, standing near a vehicle.

Deputies say Ross failed to follow orders and was detained.

Moments later, they found the victim, who appeared to have been shot multiple times. Police say he was the original caller to 911.

Detectives say Ross and the victim lived on the same property but in different houses and that there was some sort of fight that ended with Ross firing shots into the victim’s house.

The victim was airlifted to Flagstaff Medical Center in critical condition and was scheduled to undergo surgery. His current condition is unknown.

Ross was arrested and booked into the Yavapai County Jail on multiple felony charges.
