Tamarac shooting, crash footage shows suspects fleeing scene – NBC 6 South Florida

The Broward County Sheriff’s Office released surveillance video Tuesday showing a fatal shooting and crash in Tamarac and two people who immediately fled the scene.

Authorities said they responded to a report of an accident and shots fired shortly after 2:19 a.m. July 3 near the 6300 block of West Commercial Boulevard.

According to the Broward County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found the body of Christopher Mathurin inside the vehicle.

“The initial investigation revealed that there was a shooting and a collision between two vehicles,” BSO said in a statement.

Cameras captured at least one of the cars hitting the exterior wall of the home.

Surveillance footage released Tuesday showed several shots of the shooting, the moment of impact, and two people — who were in the second vehicle — fleeing the scene.

One has a slim build and the other is stocky, according to BSO detectives. Both were wearing dark clothing.
