Revere, MA Traffic Stop Stolen Car Arrest Tuesday – NBC Boston

Police said a driver was arrested in Revere, Massachusetts, on Tuesday after fleeing a traffic stop in a stolen car and then causing a crash.

The passenger in the car was injured in the crash but is expected to survive, according to Revere police. Police were spotted investigating a gray car that hit a utility pole near the intersection of Dana Street and Garfield Avenue.

Police tried to stop the car about 11:45 a.m., police said, but it sped off and crashed nearby. The driver, later identified as 29-year-old Willie Jenkins of Chelsea, fled and was arrested after a foot chase.

Jenkins faces driving and drug charges, police said. It was not immediately clear if he had a lawyer who could comment on his arrest.
