Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Season 2 Delayed Last Minute

Rocksteady has delayed the premiere of the second season of Suicide Squad Kill the Justice League.

The second season was supposed to start tomorrow, July 11. It will now start on July 25.

“Thanks for your patience,” the developer wrote in a short post on social media platform X last night. It did not provide a reason for the delay.

The upcoming season is set to introduce Mr. Freeze’s wife, Nora, to the fray. In addition to this new playable character, the second season of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League will also add new weapons, another map, and two episodes with appropriately chilling names: Frozen Hearts and Winter.

Rocksteady has two more seasons planned for the future, as outlined in roadmap released earlier this yearand we will be adding more playable characters and gear soon.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League was not as successful as Rocksteady and publisher Warner Bros. had hoped. In February of this year, Warner Bros. Discovery CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels said that Rocksteady’s release “did not meet” expectations. Warner Bros. attributed Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League to a revenue loss of $200 million.

In July, a report was released that found that the main reasons for the failure of the live service game were a culture of perfectionism, an inappropriate genre shift, and a constant change of vision.

“Rocksteady’s talent is so evident in Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League that it almost overcomes the terrible decision to try to make the game in the first place,” our Chris wrote in Eurogamer’s review of Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League, giving it three out of five stars.
