Cut off has a set premiere date for its second season. Apple TV+ announced the series’ return with a teaser. New episodes will debut in January 2025. Production on the second season began in November 2022.

Adam Scott, Patricia Arquette, John Turturro, Britt Lower, Zach Cherry, Dichen Lachman, Jen Tullock, Tramell Tillman, Michael Chernus and Christopher Walken star in the series, which follows the employees of Lumon Industries. The corporation has an interesting way of separating work from the personal lives of its employees. Bob Balaban, Robby Benson, Stefano Carannante, Gwendoline Christie, John Noble, Ólafur Darri Ólafsson, Alia Shawkat and Merritt Wever have joined the cast of the second season.

Apple TV+ revealed more details about the upcoming season in a press release.

“Apple TV+ has revealed the premiere date for the second season of its global Emmy Award-winning workplace thriller Severance and shared a short preview of what’s in store for the highly anticipated second season. Directed and executive produced by Ben Stiller and created, written and executive produced by Dan Erickson, the 10-episode second season of Severance will debut globally on Apple TV+, with the first episode available on Friday, January 17, 2025 and then one episode every Friday until March 21.

Apple TV+ has unveiled a teaser for the highly anticipated second season of “Severance,” which will premiere on January 17, 2025.

In “Severance,” Mark Scout (Adam Scott) leads a team at Lumon Industries whose employees have undergone a debriefing procedure that surgically divides their memories between their professional and personal lives. This bold experiment in “work-life balance” is challenged when Mark finds himself at the center of an unfolding mystery that will force him to confront the true nature of his job…and himself. In Season 2, Mark and his friends learn the dire consequences of toying with the debriefing barrier, leading them further down a path of misery.

Season two reunites the stars, including Emmy nominee Scott, Britt Lower, Tramell Tillman, Zach Cherry, Jen Tullock, Michael Chernus, Dichen Lachman, Emmy winner John Turturro, Oscar winner Christopher Walken and Oscar and Emmy winner Patricia Arquette. We also welcome new series regular Sarah Bock.

“Severance” is produced by Stiller, who is also directing five episodes this season, in addition to directors Uta Briesewitz, Sam Donovan and Jessica Lee Gagné. The series is written, created and executive produced by Erickson. The second season of “Severance” is also produced by John Lesher, Jackie Cohn, Mark Friedman, Beau Willimon, Jordan Tappis, Donovan, Caroline Baron, Richard Schwartz and Nicholas Weinstock. In addition to their starring roles, Scott and Arquette serve as executive producers. “Severance” is in production for its fifth season.
