Mother and daughter from KCK accused of murdering relative

A mother and daughter from Kansas City, Kansas, are facing charges of causing a fatal accident that killed a family member, according to documents filed Tuesday in Wyandotte County Court.

Latoya M. White, 46, and Monique D. Hunt, 23, were charged with involuntary manslaughter in the death of Lester Clyde White, 44.

White was Latoya’s brother and Monique’s uncle, according to online records. His death Monday was caused by excessive force, according to charging documents. The murder charge also was tagged as a drug-related offense.

According to property records, Latoya White and Hunt lived together in Kansas City, Kansas, while Lester White lived in Georgia.

Details about the nature of White’s death, as well as any possible motive, were not publicly available Wednesday. Charging documents indicate there was at least one living witness to Lester White’s death.
