Envista Forensics Expands Canadian Fire and Explosion Team with New Senior Project Consultant

TORONTO, ON, JULY 10, 2024/insPRESS/ – Envista Forensics, a global forensic consulting firm, is pleased to announce the expansion of its Canadian Fire and Explosion team with the addition of Michael Roess as Senior Project Consultant.

Roess, based in Toronto, has a wealth of experience in fire prevention, forensic investigation and protection systems. With a distinguished background in the fire service and education systems, he has held positions such as deputy chief, senior fire prevention officer, chief fire prevention officer and college professor. He has personally investigated more than 2,500 fires and currently serves as deputy chief of fire prevention for the North Huron and Huron East fire departments.

Roess joins an experienced team that includes Scott Broad, Aleks Aleksandrov, James Wheeler and Ian Read.

Earlier this year, Envista welcomed Scott Broad back to Canada full-time, where he is based in the Toronto office. Scott spent the last four years managing Envista’s U.S. operations and has returned to lead the Major Loss Group. With over 25 years of forensic investigation experience, including fire investigations, rail operations, renewable energy, and electrical faults, Scott brings a wealth of knowledge and experience. In addition to investigating over 1,200 fires, he spent 21 years with Canadian National Railways as a railway engineer, stationmaster, and conductor, providing invaluable expertise in rail operational matters.
